Boeing "Red Barn" aircraft construction shed, built 1916, in use until 1930s.
Western Pacific Chemical Company, 1940
1436 Elliott Ave W, Queen Anne, Seattle. Built in 1940 for the Western Pacific Chemical Company, this two-story concrete building was designed in the Art Deco and Art Moderne styles by John Ivar Mattson. Later, it housed several chemical manufacturers, and in the 1970s, Superior Embroidery and McNamara Signs.

A remnant of the prehistoric Missoula Floods in Central Washington, this lake has layers of water that do not intermix and a high mineral content. The water was thought to have curative powers and many spas were erected nearby in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Great Wheel, Tiny Wheel
Goldenrod Showboat (1909-2017)
Seen here in 2011, the Goldenrod Showboat was abandoned and left to rot at a mooring on the Illinois River. Preservationists attempted first to restore the boat to working condition, but it continued to sustain damage; they then removed the pilot house and some interior furnishings to preserve as museum pieces. The remainder of the boat was destroyed by arsonists on October 20, 2017.

Ballard "Up" House
Edith Macefield refused a $1M offer for her house, when the entire block around her was to be razed for a large retail development. So they simply built around her. Popularly believed to be the inspiration for the Disney movie "Up".
