(That's amore). In August 2017, wildfires in British Columbia produced enough smoke to cover most of western Washington. With little wind coming from the sea to disperse it, all of Seattle was choked in a thick, unpleasant haze for several weeks. The smoky air caused the full moon of 7 August to appear red. After Amazon bought the building, they gutted it and erected a skyscraper in the shell of the old brick laundry, which now provides a covered walkway leading to the entrances of the new building.
